Apartment Information – Durres, Albania

Our apartment is located in the charming city of Durres, just a 40-minute drive from Tirana. For your convenience, you will find the exact location of the apartment on this page, which is especially helpful if you are arriving by car or by taxi.

Arrival and Transportation

Please let us know your expected arrival time. If you arrive during daytime hours, we will personally meet you and hand over the keys. For late-night arrivals, you will receive a code to collect the keys from a secure box.

Taxis are readily available at the airport. Electric taxis are usually cheaper, with fares averaging around 40 EUR. If you plan to arrive by car, street parking near the apartments is free.

If you prefer to rent a car, we can assist with arrangements, or you can use the local rental offices located on the main street near the apartment. Typical rental rates are around 35 EUR per day.

Currency and Payments

We recommend arriving with Euros, which are widely accepted in shops and restaurants. In larger stores, card payments are also possible. Alternatively, you can use local exchange offices. Bank card withdrawals from ATMs incur a fee of approximately 650–800 ALL per transaction.

Language and Local Services

The common language for communication is English, so you will have no trouble getting around. All our apartments are situated within typical residential areas, ensuring that essential services like shops, bakeries, restaurants, bars, and pharmacies are just a few meters away. You will also find all standard groceries similar to those you are used to at home.

Internet and Connectivity

All apartments are connected to Wi-Fi, and internet access is also widely available in local bars and restaurants.

Beaches and Swimming

Durres offers sandy beaches with a gently sloping entry into the sea. The water is generally clean, though it may become temporarily cloudy before a storm.
